Save The Date Wedding Cards

October 21, 2009

A save the date is similar to an invitation and is     mailed up to one year before the wedding date. Save the dates simply announce that the wedding date has been set and encourages recipients to plan the event. Not used as a substitute for the wedding invitation and typically mentions that an invitation to continue.

Save the date cards are a fairly recent invention, so there is no standard for the appropriate wording. The best approach to take is to decide what you want to save the date cards to make: just let people know that the wedding date and location has been set, inform them of transportation or lodging, or act as a route for a wedding weekend, with details of each of the activities planned.

Once you have established what you want is to save the date, write the words will not be easy. Most brides simply send a short text indicating that the bride and grooms names, date and place (the city, not the exact location) of the ceremony, and the phrase “formal invitation to follow.

Text of the wedding invitation is more difficult, for now. Most couples choose to celebrate the wedding is something to that effect. (Note that this text is generally used with ceremonies held in a house of worship. In a non-religious ceremony, replace “request the honor of your presence” to “request the pleasure of your company.)
In general, the Save the date is only a notification to the results that you are planning a wedding date, which is also to expect an invitation to continue.

When planning your wedding, hotel or venue know that you do not have exact figures and is not expected until the date approaches. I fear that if you request an RSVP for the ETS, people may mistake this for the invitation. Created a website and invite you to visit and you should get a pretty good idea of your comments, you will be able to reach. When my clients to ETS, I like to include any information the hotel as well as any other travel related information they need. This will give customers the information they need to know if they can afford the trip. Includes blocks of rooms and costs, and any cut dates and phone numbers for customers to call and make your reservations. We also invite guests to visit their website for updated information. This is a good place to his list of registration and any other information you want your guests to know.

Planning from out of state can be very difficult. If you do not have a coordinator in Arizona, I would recommend it. You can save a lot of trouble, worry and stress. With a coordinator in Arizona will be able to deal with all the other things you have in progress and that he or she can take care of things for the wedding in Arizona. Just make sure you keep in close contact with its coordinator to both know what they want and do not appear at her wedding to something you do not want their themes, colors, etc.
